It is a footpath made to pass over a stream or a valley. Bridges can be wooden, steel, masonry, or reinforced concrete.
People found the first bridges ready in nature. A tree stump connecting the two banks of a stream, a natural arch formed by rocks or roads formed by ivy over a pit formed the first bridges. When the people who saw the bridge in nature for the first time wanted to do better, they put another one next to the log on the stream, thus completely eliminating the possibility of rolling into the water. Finally, the further reproduction of the extended logs and the construction of balustrades on the sides made the primitive bridges more useful.
People were content with such bridges for a long time, but they felt the need to build stronger bridges when the loads and cars they carried became heavier. Thereupon, it was necessary to support the bridge by making a stone pillar in the middle of the bridge, so the first step was taken in the construction of masonry bridges.
